OK, now I can ask this and not get flamed

How many 4x2s are out there with the rear diff locker and when do you use it?

Re: OK, now I can ask this and not get flamed

dont have it but I do want the ARB. there have been times when it would have come in handy but the auto LSD usually does the job well enough. the locker is nice because it turns off stability control and other stuff that inhibit fun.

Re: OK, now I can ask this and not get flamed

I use it all the time, but I'm starting to just use auto lsd more often.
I've been in more than a few one rear wheel down in the back while getting up out of a hole, or sandy hill climbs where wheel spin is a must.
Its definitely fun on-throttle through the corners but that just makes me want the race bucket out of the drift car and into the FJ!

Re: OK, now I can ask this and not get flamed

I generally engage it before I head into rougher terrain. Since momentum is a must for Mud and Sand (Florida's main terrain), you don't want to have to stop in the nasty stuff. Engage it, hit the gas, and have some fun.
