Wish 4x2 had 2-Low gearing

The 4x2 setup in the FJ is very capable (rear locks, traction control, etc...). But, I wish that it had a low gearing selection like the"4-lo" that the 4x4's do.

Hmmmm......

You put the rig in low to engage the diff lock, right? I know that is a pretty capable little deal. I have managed to get out of some rather "sticky" situations with that combo.

Is that how you have to do it in the 2wd Kim?
Make sure you are going under 5mph and NOT TURNING. Drive straight while engaging.
If you try to engage while turning OR while a wheel is spinning (trying to get unstuck) the locker will try to lock both wheel. This is a problem because one axle shaft is spinning and the other isn't. You will seriously mess up your rear end. Now go get stuck and use that locker to get out Kim.

You don't have to put it in low to engage the rear locker. You can do in D. I would still put it in low to get out though...

4x2 Diff Lock: any gear you choose, all the wheel spin you want, and all the opposite lock you can handle
