So.....

Are this sliders sturdy enough to use to jack up the vehicle with a Hi-Jack? Though most of my off roading doesn't include rocks, I seriously considered getting some rails as a means to jack up the vehicle to change tires for the Hi-Jack, thus avoiding the sucky stock tire jack usage that I always dread when getting a flat tire.

thanks
I called Trail-Gear about a month ago and asked that very question. The person I spoke with said "Absolutely. You can use a jack anywhere on the rails."

Re: My Trail Gear Slider Story (pics)

Thanks for all the great comments, folks. I just got back from Tall Corn and these saved me some body work.

KLD, I think I will go the route of mbission and when I touch up I will use a textured Rustoleum. That oughtta do the trick, I think.

msduncan, The rails will hold the weight of lifting with a Hi Jack, but I would suggest some sort of adapter to keep it from slipping off since it's round.

leejam99, a resize to 600 width will usually satisfy every one.

Preliminary Tall Corn pics later today.

Re: My Trail Gear Slider Story (pics)

Yes the sliders are plenty strong to support the weight of the truck. A high lift jack can be used anywhere along the length of the slider.

Just this week we hired additional staff and now we are building ahead of orders. With finished stock now on the shelf, we get virtually every order within 1 business day.

I agree with you about powder coating. I will probably paint mine also, but I did talk to Line x and they said they would do it for $125.00. Line x should hold up very well and have the added benefit of not needing non skid tape applied to top of rails.

I just installed mine and used duplicolor bedlined put it on as thick as i need or want... textured works and looks cool
