My bolts went very easily into the rivnuts. Perhaps yours were clogged with something? Mud?

Thumbs up Re: My Trail Gear Slider Story (pics)

Bump -ing this one btt, I got my TG sliders back from the powder coater yesterday and bolted 'em up. Love the way they look and could not be happier with Trail-Gear. This vendor kicks azz.

Re: My Trail Gear Slider Story (pics)

Line-X just quoted me $200...I'll check one more dealer, but looks like I'll go the rattle can route.

I agree with you about powder coating. I will probably paint mine also, but I did talk to Line x and they said they would do it for $125.00. Line x should hold up very well and have the added benefit of not needing non skid tape applied to top of rails.

Re: My Trail Gear Slider Story (pics)

Changed my life. No more figuring out how not to look like a dork getting
in...step on the slider (painted with bed-liner so no slip) and right
in the FJ. G/F's mom was in town this weekend, got the same idea.
Up and in.

I was told very recently they will not be available for another 2 months-give or take a month.

here are pics of my FJ with the same sliders. I too painted it my self with $8 spray on bed liner from Petboys. no problems at all and looks great to me. nice BIG pics for everyone. hope you have fast connection

Liked your approach Leejam99. My wife got me a set of these sliders for my birthday. After reading your message, I too went to Pepboys this weekend and got two rattle-cans of spray-on bed liner for $8.98 each. It drys in 5 minutes. Did about 6 coats and still have ½ a can left.

I stacked the two shipping boxes the sliders came in and then put a slider on top of the boxes. Slid it under the truck and was a snap to bolt up.

Drove down to Temple, TX on Sunday and everyone that rode in the back seat said this addition makes it a lot easier getting in and out of the back.

One concern I have that someone else has already mentioned in this thread, is that I had to detach an anchor bolt on the rear brake lines on both sides to install the sliders. After the slider installation, the bolt won’t line up to reattach the brake line. Wonder if this will be a issue with Toyota. Has anyone been able to reattach this?

Re: My Trail Gear Slider Story (pics)

Would like to consider these sliders but the page on their web site seems to be down? Anyone know why?

EDIT: It is just one link on the site. I found another way to get to the FJ slider page. It says 1 week delay due to demand.
