Per Jason, I cannot publish the prices. And now that it is done, I'm not sure what good it would do to find out, but if you pm me, I can let you know. It was a good enough deal that I wish I had gotten in on it
Just curious on the price . . . no big deal. I think I may have finally almost decided on the Trail Gear. $299 shipped to good to pass up -- what a great Christmas Present.

I'm getting Man-a-Fre wide sliders tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have some pictures by Sunday. Christmas is great when you have an FJ!

Re: Complete Slider Comparison

I was waiting on the Expedition sliders, and was getting ansy on waiting. wanted something b4 Christmas. Then last night made a spur of the moment decision on the Trail Gear sliders, but their web site now states a 1 week backlog. oh well, will continue the wait for the Expeditions and decide when they become available(?how much?).

Larry, I'm quite pleased with my Man-A-Fre wide sliders. They sent bolts stamped 8.8, which converted from Metric means they are Grade 5, not Grade 8 bolts. Grade 8 bolts would be stamped 10.9. However, the extension isn't as wide as some of the others, so Grade 5 bolts should be adequate. For the record my local Ace Hardware had 10.9 metric bolts (hardened) that I purchased for the purpose of my install.

Re: Complete Slider Comparison

Thanks for the info KLD. I'm putting mine on today or tomorrow. I also picked up the Man-A-Fre front skid plate. I met the man who makes all the MAF stuff. He's a busy guy. I got to see all the stuff he's making for FJ's and the other Landcruisers. His quality is very impressive. His powdercoat is very high quality.

Your comment about the high quality powdercoat is very on point. I should have mentioned that last month during my slider installation write up. I need to look into MAF's front slid plate too. I passed on the Toyota offering.

Re: Complete Slider Comparison

I'll have some pics of the sliders and skid soon. Skid is almost on now. The MAF front skid is stout.

I was waiting to see the outcome on those too, but never heard anything back. Finally decided to make a move (getting the sliders as a Christmas gift) and went with Man-A-Fre wides. I can't wait to get them. They look really good and durable, plus KLD likes them so they must be good!

Re: Complete Slider Comparison

Here's my pics of MAF sliders and MAF front skid plate. All I need now is the front lift.

Re: Complete Slider Comparison

Anyone pickup the ARB sliders yet? That's one brand I'm curious about...have always liked their stuff.
