Re: Man-A-Fre Sliders

Anybody have any recent installs and reviews of this product? And how have the sliders performed over the last year for those who installed? We are considering these and want to know how they stack up!

Re: Man-A-Fre Sliders

I have the Man-A-Fre sliders and still pleased with my selection of this product. I like the solid build of these sliders, design of extension to protect the rocker panels, and quality of fit.

I consider myself a mild off-roader and always try to pick a line to avoid any contact with the trail, other than the tires. As such the sliders have not been tested, except to hi-lift jack on them after the install.

They're great. Really strong - I've latterally banged them against rocks and I've dropped the vehicle vertically onto rocks. Mine are all now nicely sctrached up, but working great. Almost no deflection at all from dropping the whole vehicle weight onto them.

Re: Man-A-Fre Sliders

Thanks guys! I guess our only concern now would be in the weight department. I think we fall into the line of "mild off-roaders" as well. Not to say we won't ever be taking it out for rock climbing etc, but it's also my daily driver as well. They look pretty burley and heavy! Any experiences positive or negative with the weight factor?

I think they're going to turn out to be roughly the same weight as the other aftermarket (or even stock) rails. As far as I know, these are all steel tubing rails, and between the slider tubes and the mounts, I don't think there's going to be a huge difference in weight between the various types. Compared to say a front bumper, I don't think you're going to notice the rock rail weight.
