Question Rhino Lined

Has any of you used Rhino Bed liner on your FJ? I hear the Army uses it to bomb proof there trucks. I thought it would be cool to paint the sides and under the FJ with it, to protect from scraches and rust.

Rhino

The army uses thick a$$ steel to bomb proof their vehicles. Rhino linings are not IED proof.

I geuss I should have added that they cover their armor with Rino Liner. And its not that thick have you ever sat in one with rounds bouncing and going thru the so-called armor. Maybe tank armor is thick. The floor and some of the walls of our humvee was covered in Rino Liner like stuff but we added that. Never saw a round go thru the parts with the liner.

Re: Rhino Lined

I was actually thinking of lining the top of mine, just on the inside of the storage rack area. I have a metalic on white. I would leave the white on the outside of the rack, but Rhino line the inside of the rack area. Not sure if I am going to do it or not.

Oh gotcha.

I was just thinking of the flooring of the humvees and tanks. Isn't the metal on the floor of the humvee thicker than that on the door?

What areas are you looking to coat specifically with Rhino lining? The frame rails, axles, etc?

Yep too much will add to much weight on top, I was thinking on the sides up to the lower part of the windows. You can get it in any color. I was thinking I never wash my FJ, so I don't care if its got a mirror image on the paint or not. But I do not want rust. If I keep puting new Cali and Nevada pin stripes it will make its way to bare metal. I thought this would work to protect.
