More body mounts chopped
Took the afternoon off and drove up to DeMello Offroad shop for some minor surgery. Here are a few shots of the results:
Thanks Jason for the great work. See you at the Offroad Expo this weekend.

How much $$$$ did you leave at Demello's shop????
Hope he threw in a t-shirt, or did the 'spidey dance' for you.

When you put larger tires on, you will rub when turning...before lifting.
Some also rub even after a lift.
The point that is 'chopped' is a front body mount, and the pictures above show about 1.5-2" of material removed and boxed in.

Jason charged $200 for this mod. No t-shirt but I did get great pizza and beer at the Lamppost Pizza and Brewery afterwards (thanks wrigman for the recommendation).

not sure I understand. This would seem to lower the body on the frame, but I guess I am thinking backwards some how.

yep. Toyota designed the body mounts with a freakin' huge extension that is not needed. People are simply shortening these mounts for the tyres.
