Front Hitch Receiver From Curt Now Available!

This just in from Mike at Curt Manufacturing:

To all who are awaiting the Front Mount Hitch for the FJ Cruiser, the part number is 31367 and will be available for purchase 10/6/06 from HitchSource.com, Curt's online distributor. Price is under $250.00.

The hitch is available in black only and is finished with Curt's durable Evergloss Powder Coat finish to resist rust and corrosion.

The installation is a simple 30 minute no drill install. Please feel free contact me if you have any further questions about the product.

Install looks simple enough, be nice to see some pics once someone has it installed. Curious as to where the hitch sticks out on the front.

Evidently a new Curt website is under way with P/N# 31003 being a 'common-size' drilled multi-mount plate (with handles) that will finally appear there. They have evidently tested these units at 9,000 lbs. straight pull only with this plate (according to Mike at Curt) which clears the front bumper for sure (nice to know).

Somebody else is going to have to link the pictures here (Mike had indicated that somebody here has them besides myself)...as I'm just plain ignorant in more ways than one.

Photos, photos, I gotta see some photos. Was planning on getting a winch and a 2" receiver mount as I don't do much actual off roading, but it would be handy to have the abilities at times to winch if needed. Thinking I could just use from back but would be interested if a "good, hidden, unrestricting" front receiver was available.
