Re: Body Armor Bumper

Way too big for the FJ, but I like the way it hugs the body. It looke like it fits closer than the ARB.

Re: Body Armor Bumper

When i first saw the picture i said" dam'n that looks good".
It's almost an All Pro meets ARB bumper. Like the hoop bars and shackel mounts, just looks way to heavy.

Re: Body Armor Bumper

Yep, noobie here. BUT I too saw the bumper - it's not heavy...around 90#...

It's made of aluminum. 3/16" aluminum.

It looks like it kills your approach angle...

Irony: Their name is "Body Armor", but they have the Toyota "bling" plate still on

--Bill
I feel the same, like whomever designed it, just doesnt think about stuff like that. Plus it looks like its HEAVY!!!

Looking at it agian it just looks like a steel version of the stock bumper without the "wings", not impressed.

Re: Body Armor Bumper

The winch placement is much to low on this bumper. It's going to get a lot of abuse on the trail. If a bumper dosen't sit higher than the tow hooks on the frame, it is no better than a stock bumper. The added weight of brush guards, in my opinion, are of little value. I perfer a bumper lighter in weight.

Re: Body Armor Bumper

The ARB just looks SO D@MN good, that I compare others to it, and none are even close (in this style of bumper).
