Re: Allpro bumper mounted

I powdercoated my Allpro black-man I really like your silver bumper-looks great. You mounted the whole thing in 3 hours? Took me 6 counting drilling out for the hoops, etc. I'm just old and slow.
Nice job

Re: Allpro bumper mounted

Great job....those chrome shackles add a lot of bling too

how much space do you have between the bottom of your grill to the top of your bumper?

My barely touches....

Nice and very custom....I went with the generic flat black.....I did paint my shackles flat black too....with the galvanized finish it looked like a bunch of earrings in front....

Re: Allpro bumper mounted

The bumper fits pretty close to the body. I think the added Line-X is what really closed the gap below the grill. Still I'm happy with the result with the exception that it lowered the front end almost an inch. Haven't decided how I'm going to solve this problem. The revtek lift elimnates the thought of simple spacers so I guess the only thing to do would be install new coilovers, but the wallet has run dry for now.

Re: Allpro bumper mounted

My Front only dropped 1/4" per side after install of AP Winch Bumper w/Light Bar, 2 PIAA Lights, and M8000 with Synth Line. I am guessing that I added about 100lbs extra to the front.

But I already had the donahoe coilovers installed so maybe they are firmer than the stock and sag less from the weight? 2 Turns of the adjuster ring on each side brought it back to the pre-AP bumper height. Also rides better with the bumper, feels less harsh in the front over dips and speed bumps.

Regards,
Alphonse

Re: Allpro bumper mounted

Looks great. I like the combo finish you decided on. Should have mine mounted up this weekend. It's at the powder coaters now.

Re: Allpro bumper mounted

Same experience on my part as well (only .25" difference). Nice setup youve got there!

Same bumper, winch, and lights as yours, so we both have good tastes

BTW, the All Pro definitely makes a huge difference on your approach angle. Dom and I were out playing today near work and he was not able to get up some hills nearly as easily as I was. In fact I am giving him my left over stock bumper shell since he pretty much trashed his today.

Here's a pic of us messing around today. Dom is as high as his stock front bumper (no lift) would let him go and I was able to get as high as I wanted until my rear bumper hit the ground behind the truck. Slope is pretty equal on both sides of this "Florida Mountain"

Here's me going up the same side as Dom...

Did put a few light scratches in the powdercoat of my less than 1 week old All Pro... maybe should have spray painted it after all!

Regards,
Alphonse
