Question A-Trac / Locker Question

I have a simple question that I hope someone can answer...

Is there any difference between the TRD Edition A-Trac / locking differential than a standard model with A-Trac / locking differential?

The brochure that I have says the TRD is "synchronized" to work with the A-Trac system... Of course no one at the dealer can answer the question.

Thanks!

The black roof software is synchronized with the A-Trac. It turns white when you get stuck real bad.

It isn't going to be that easy, you will need to give us some source of info before this becomes the last word on the subject.

Please please pretty please, let us all know how you know.

That does beg the question.

Because the hack is just designed to let both work together--disabling the ATRAC shutoff or something like that.

Did they write more software for the SE, or did they just rewire it?

The stock edition did not allow the 2 (A-trac and the locking rear to be used at the same time. The SE has the mod described here on the forum (do a search) that allows them to be utilized at the same time. You can do the same thing yourself. This is the synchronization that the new ads for the SE refers to. By the way, welcome to the forum.
