Another FabFours Front bumper install

Here are a couple of photos of a FabFours front bumper installed on a Metallic Ti FJ shot today near Big Sur, CA. Particulars:
Winch: Warn M8000 with 100 ft of 5/16 synthetic cable, aluminum thimble, and delrin hawse fairlead from winchline.com (total of 48 lbs)
Driving lights: IPF 960 with 110W H3 bulbs (~ 3 lbs)
Followed OEM bumper (31 lbs) removal instructions from gsgmac (Thanks!). Need to remove a portion of the front sheet metal support per FabFours instruction but did not need to reroute the A/C line and used split wire looms for all harnesses. Installing the Hella lights pods were a PITA. On the other hand, the FabFours front bumper is extremely well made and was surprised to learn that the nice and even welds were hand-made and not by a robot. I do like the look of this bumper as it complements the lines of the FJ very well. Enjoy!

PS. I have the front bumper on for almost 2 months and the overall sag is ~1/2" due to the net weight gain over the front axle of 123 lbs; I also notice a little more nosediving under heavy braking. Need to get the coilovers to level out the front soon.

Re: Another FabFours Front bumper install

I have the same bumper with a warn xi9000 winch. Together they weigh too much for the front springs to handle. I found a Daystar 1.25" leveling kit that mounts under the spring mount to preload the springs. Works great. Had to order the kit as a 05 4Runner to get them at (wheelersoffroad.com)
