Difference between VSC and 4H on MT

Help, please, the FJ manual says to use 4H on my 6 Spd MT under wet conditions. However, when I go into 4H the FJ tells me VSC is disabled. Question is this, is it safer to drive 4H under wet conditions with the VSC disabled or without 4H and VSC still enabled?

Re: Difference between VSC and 4H on MT

4H locks the center diff. Toyota must have felt the center diff is more appropriate to keep traction. (Safer than loosing traction on wet pavement and then hoping that VSC can recover.)
Reading the manual all the way through usually gives the reader more questions than answers.
