Or for that matter, let's throw Bud Built into the mix.

Don't know about All-Pro but have the Man-A-Fre and am very happy with them. I know first hand they can take a beating. Im sure the All Pro product is also good based on their reputation here.

Re: AllPro vs Man-a-fre Skidplates

Man-a-fre is the only one with a 'full' set of skids, I believe. The All-pro skids do look pretty cool though. I'm wondering if the way that All-pro has approached the transfer case skid and the 'cat' skids is lighter. Granted, it's all in the name of protection, but if I can get the same protection and save some weight, I'm cool with that. Just curious. I don't have anything but what Toyota gave me so I don't have any hands-on experience with any of them.

BudBuilt has a full set of skids and he's about to release 2 versions of a gas tank skid.

Re: AllPro vs Man-a-fre Skidplates

I went with BudBuilt. Should be getting them soon. Bud's reputation in the wheeling industry is basically what sold me. We just bought a 89 Pickup IFS Skid, a 90 Runner IFS Skid, and the full set of FJC skids. Can't wait to put them on there!

The Toyota bling plate is junk... so whatever you decide will be a major improvement!

Re: AllPro vs Man-a-fre Skidplates

Anyone have an opinion on the best skid for the money? I've tried to contact all-pro through pm's but no response.

MAF 3 peice set is now $670.

Allpro 3 peice set $767

Budbuilt 3 peice set $600

The FJCTrailTeam went with Bud Built skids and so should you. I like the buds because the are on the east coast and have a full set.

Call them, they are there all the time and if you get a machine they will call you back soon. Also if you were PM scotty by chance he no longer works their. Rockrawler would be they only on on here from All Pro.

I have the All Pro skids and they have worked just great for me and I have no complaintes about them. I have heard other complane about the trans skid in how it go's up and then back down at the cross member and in doing so creats a place for you to get hung up on. But that hasn't been an issue for me and I am not worryed about that happening.
