traction control disable?

I have not come across this anywhere yet, is there a way to disable the traction control for those times you want to go do a little rally driving on fire trails and need to hang the rear out a bit in 2hi

Re: traction control disable?

It may take some searching but...

In one of the A-TRAC and rear locker hacks, there is a point where you splice into the wiring harness at the long connector on the side of the master cylinder and would then tap 12v to it. I just put a switch inline with the wire and did not do the "add 12v" to it. (waiting to see if Toyota will flash the ECU and/or not sure if I really need it yet). This will simply disable the VSC when you want to.

No, I just spliced a switch inline with the wire shown and it gave me a VSC disconnect.

It gives you the "VSC Off" light because with the absence of +12V on this line, the ECU thinks the rear diff locker is engaged.

Re: traction control disable?

Traction control is different from VSC.
Is traction control off when VSC is off?
