Re: Truck feels "loose" after lift kit was installed
Did you get an alignment? Mine feels the same way after the 3" skyjacker lift. They could not get it back to factory alignment spec. The caster is still way off. Feels all funny at higher speeds. I really dont like the feeling......
Re: Truck feels "loose" after lift kit was installed
Comes with the territory when you get a lift and MTs. Just get it aligned, make sure the tire pressure is right, etc to minimize the less than razor sharp steering and ride. Still better than ATs and stock - bleech!!

Re: Truck feels "loose" after lift kit was installed
I got the Revtek 3" spacer lift with nasty knobbed nitto mudders, other then pulling into ruts at LOW speed , theres no difference in the ride. From what Im hearing the revtek is designed more to keep the stock street feel, compared to all the other lifts out there.

Check your tire pressure--experiment a little and see what feels good; check the alignment as well. Any leftover degradation of ride quality is probably the unavoidable result of the lift/tires.

Installed OME 2" heavy front and rear kit and Dunlop mud rovers.
Truck feels like it "sways" or "feels looser" more than before and the steering is more sensitive.
Has anybody else experienced this with the OME lift or any other lift?
May this be a by product of the mud tires?

THe "loose" feel is usually a result of incorrect alignment (positive caster / positive camber) and/or incorrect tire pressure. Have both checked by a professional - the vehicle should be able to align withing spec with the 2" OME kit, but many shops do not have the proper FJC alignment specs - they are found in the FJC factory service manual...

Re: Truck feels "loose" after lift kit was installed
Mine feels perfect. I wouldn't say it's "loose", I think it actually handles better. since TOD did mine, they had the correct alignment specs. Feels just like new.
You can get the specs off of here, they should be stickied somewhere.
Re: Truck feels "loose" after lift kit was installed
Mine is more "darty" on the highway due to inability to set camber properly after the lift. I will replace the UCA's which should correct this. Not really "looser", you just have to watch the road so you don't drift-small steering corrections are all that is needed. A loose feeling may just be due to MT tires and taller side walls. The MT treads have more give with lateral force than the highway tires that were standard. The above suggestion about tire pressure is a good one. This really changes handling on MT's and tall side walls
