Finally CO2 Tank Installed...

I've been wheelin' with my CO2 bottle strapped down in all kinds of confounded ways. I've always known I wanted to mount it upright but had to figure out how to do it and find the right bracket. I want to leave it in the truck and run a hose to each tire. I found the bracket three weeks ago and bought it. Now I figured out how to mount it and I love it's look and it's out of the way. Some of you will probably comment that the kneck will bust off in a roll over but I'm fabricating a guard for that.
Here are some pics:

Wow! Nice install.

What is the mesh divider that you are using? I like the way it looks as well.

Don't make sense to paint it. I'm in a bottle exchange program. I drop one off and pick one up. If I want the same bottle, I have to wait three days.

No different than a Powertank. And it's not flammable. The known hazards with CO2 is that it displaces oxygen causing an oxygen deficient atmosphere. This is also the same substance used in fire exringuishers. Another reason to install it standing up, other than you can use the bottle and not have to remove it, is that if the kneck of the bottle should break, the pressure would be driven downward and the bracket would keep it held in place. CO2 is relatively stable. Heat does cause it to expand. That's why the regulator has a built in pop off so it relieves the pressure before something catostrophically fails.

Regulator? built in pop off? relieving pressure before something catostrophically fails? CO2 relatively stable? Sorry dude, not for me. I hope you never experience a catostrophic failure or a bad vehicle accident with that bottle gas time bomb planted in your back seat. I'll pass.

Well that was constructive..

CO2 is as safe as a fire extinguisher in your car.
