It's not super obvious, but the gap between bumper and wheel well/body/mudguard on the driver side is about 3/4" and on the other side about 1/4". And looking from the front it looks like it might be just slightly lower on the driver side than on the passenger side. It's not hugely obvious.
Am wondering if this may be "normal" given variations of tolerances with Toyota or ARB. And if not, what might cause it.
I don't know if it was like this when it was installed or not. It could very well relate to my question of
"How hard can you hit your FJ withour breaking it?". I had a couple incidents last week where I porpoised across some sand ruts.
CruiserLarry had a look at the bumper and the FJ and didn't seem concerned, nor did he see any immediate explanation. He even loosened the bolts holding the ARB on and didn't see any evidence that it had shifted.
Anyone know if this might just be normal? And if not, what might explain it if everything "looks" ok?
