Stock bumper winch mount kit?

Howdy All
I have seen the AllPhaseOffRoad.com one off custom job and really liked it. Their use of tubing and plate steel not just mounting a winch plate between the frame and all, but All Phase is in CO, and they offer no kit, (called).
So my question is this: Is there any one working on a bolt/weld in kit,? It doesn't seem too ridiculous, to fab up a kit for the moderate gear head to install. Why, not the full meal deal bumper? save weight and $$$, and you don't have to get stiffer springs also if you bang up the plastic faux bumper (not the frame of course) just eBay another from the folks that have "needed" the ARB's and the like... I don't wheel to often but like the peace of mind a winch gives. The Idea being a SuperWinch 9000 and syn. winch line, for those rare stuck moments. Thanks ALL

Re: Stock bumper winch mount kit?

Vagabond,

Thanks for asking. I am waiting to get confimation of my patent and then I will have a winch mount kit available either this week or the next. My winch mount bolts to the front of the frame replacing the cheap alum bumper using its eight bolts and two additional 12mm bolts below to triangulate load distribution. The mount is made out of 1/4 plate and replaces the front silver plastic trim panel located on the bottom front of the bumper. In the plastic panels place is a 1/8 inch steel plate that is welded to the winch mount. This plate is reinforced to mount the failead and to act as a new REAL bumper / skid protection. Basicly what you end up with is a front end that looks stock with a winch inside and a tough real silver bumper. I will try to put some pictures up ASAP, again just waiting on the confirmation of the patent. Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Stock bumper winch mount kit?

Cool, I think you will have a great market for this, standing by for pics, I realize that you can't be too detailed or someone else will steal your Idea. Smart to patent, too bad Toyota didn't keep it in their concept FJC. If the price is reasonable I'll be in line for a kit. I hope you corner the market, I'm so tired of the Bling bumpers. Now if only somebody would make a SAS coil over kit I'd poop myself.

Re: Stock bumper winch mount kit?

Cant say too much else yet, but I also have a light rack with air dam for the roof rack. For those who are worried about getting in to the garage with the additional height of the lights on their roof as well as the problems with wind noise, this fixes it. Will have some pics and details in soon.
