Exclamation Who would be interested in a Stock Bumper Winch Mount?

Just was wondering how many of you out there would be interested in a winch mount that would still use the stock bumper if I started having them made? What would you guys want and what features would you want in one?

I was thinking so far that their could be a big cost savings as compared to having to buy a new metal bumper for around a $1000 (I think I can get them done for about half that) and because it would be much lighter WITHOUT SACRIFICING STRENGTH you would not have to worry about a saggy suspension or your front diving when you break?

Please let me know what you guys think,

Thanks!

I want a front end receiver-hitch through the lower front grill attached to the frame.

I think $500. is a little over priced for just the mount ( a slab of metal with a few brackets). But I would be interested for $ 150.00

Re: Who would be interested in a Stock Bumper Winch Mount?

I'd be intersted in a stock winch setup. Im not intersted in adding the heavy duty bumper. Im gonna add the skids and a lift and be done. So, if I can add a stock winch id do that. Max id pay is probably around $250 for the bracketing.

Yeah, no more than about $250 or so for me too. I'd be interested though.

Thumbs up Re: Who would be interested in a Stock Bumper Winch Mount?

Thanks for the ideas and feedback. I have to confess I already have made a mount for my FJ and am working out the final details. I promise it is more than a slab of metal with some holes in it. I have seen some guys with good intentions make some mounts that really are not safe. If I put these out they will be quality. On the link below, there is a little of a explination into what I have.

Stock bumper winch mount kit?

Thanks for the feedback and thoughts so far please keep them coming. By the way what are the features you would like in a winch mount?

Re: Who would be interested in a Stock Bumper Winch Mount?

I also would be interested as I have an 8k older Ramsey winch already.

Cheers.

Re: Who would be interested in a Stock Bumper Winch Mount?

Very interested as well , but i think 250 would be max price. I like the idea of replacing the lower plastic silver piece with metal .

Re: Who would be interested in a Stock Bumper Winch Mount?

I wouldnt mind having something similar to this?
Product Image

It's Kinda hidden but it's still there if ya need it. Not sure if this would work with the way the front of the fj is made though. Possibly even fabricate a push bar or something to connect off the winch frame. Not sure how stable this would be though. But would be nice to get two things in one. Im not intersted in a full brush guard. My idea would be to use a bull bar similar to this: the baddest rides on the board.

but with the winch fabricated into the base of the push bar and both the bull bar and winch frame securing to fj's frame flush. But would this be possible without cutting down on approach angle or clearance?
