Finally tried out the upgrades in the hills today. procomp 16" wheels, procomp 315/75R16 extreme AT's Downey 3.5" suspension and the new front all pro bumper.

My new FJ next to our trail truck
I have to lower the rear bump stop another inch. The tires just touch the inside of the plastic fender when fully stuffed. The front doesent hit the body mount but it is touching the inside fender to body seam when at maximum compression. probably will flatten the seam with a mallet like we do for most every toyota truck we wheel.
Thanks to Terry and the guys at ALL-PRO off road for the bumpers. I need to install the rear this weekend.
The FJ sure does like to lift the rear tires a lot. I guess I'm not used to wheeling a rig with limited rear travel. It climbs up hills very well. easily climbed a 45 degree hill and even walked up a stepped, rear bumper rubbing 60 degree hill. downhill off camber is a little spooky because of the tire lifting off the ground, but once you get used to that, no problem at all. washboard running at speed was excellent and very controllable.
I gotta lose the running boards fast. they are bent up already. home brewed sliders coming soon.
overall a very decent wheeler. comfortable for sure. I hate not being able to peek outside the window to see where the front tire is though. you really have to get out of your seat to pop your head outside.
When washing off the Guam mud I noticed a "pocket" that really packs up with mud and rocks. rear fender well right at the bottom of the rear door and behind the plastic bottom trim (9 o colck when looking at the rear tire) you can stick you whole hand in there to pull out cups of mud and dirt.
looks great, and man is that some dark red dirt, also got to love the trail truck.

Great pictures and great comments. I really appreciate hearing about specifics of wheeling adventures and capabilities.

FYI, a front bump-stop from an FJ 60 will bolt right up in the rear of your FJ and should take care of any further rubbing issues; assuming of course that you can find one.
Great pics and tech thanks for sharing. It shure is beautiful where you are and that red soil makes me want to plant something. I am going to have to visit someday.
Just out of curiosity, how much was it to ship the bumper to Guam?
Couple of guys over here on Oahu are looking at bumpers, too. Must have cost $$$$ to ship.
Nice rigs, btw.

Kind of complicated to price it out. I own an offroad/performance shop here on Guam and I am a dealer for AllPro. I had them ship the bumpers along with lots of other stuff that came from All Pro and it was consolidated with our regular shipments coming out of Long Beach.
Call Terry or Scotty from All Pro. Ask them for the trucking/shipping quote from their store in Hemet to Triple B. Freight in Carson CA. zip 90746. It will be cheaper for shipping overall if you can get a couple other guys in Hawaii to buy at the same time. I find that Trucking in the Con U.S. costs more than Ocean freight to Guam. Call Triple B. Freight in Honolulu. They have an office on Waiwai loop kind of around the Sand Island area under the freeway. (808)834-7154. you can probably ocean freight four or five bumpers for under $300.00 hope that helps.
