Who has the Steelcraft brushguard?

Howdy. Does anyone have experience with the Steelcraft brushguard? I don't think I can really justify a whole new bumper based on what I'll be doing with my FJ, and this one seems to give a little actual front-of-vehicle protection, unlike most guards. Plus, the price is right at around $400.

If anyone can recommend it, or a similar product that gives some front-end protection while keeping the original bumper, please reply!

Thanks!

Re: Who has the Steelcraft brushguard?

I have one and I really like it, Note: It is not as heavy duty as the ARB Steel ones, BUt I do like it and the looks, could be a little more heavy Duty, But for the price I think it will work. Hope this helps! Bought mine for 299 and hundred for shipping..

The steelcraft one is a chinese made black powdercoat steel one. It's ok. I have sold them in the past.

I have a similar brush guard that I installed yesterday.

Re: Who has the Steelcraft brushguard?

The Steelcraft units are made in California (not China).

The unit itself is pretty solid, however because they designed it as a bolt on with NO DRILLING required, the mounting points leave it a little to "flexible".
My only concern is if the edges get bumped too hard, it could hit the signal lights.

The tail light guards they offer are VERY GOOD, but if you live in a salty area, get the stainless version (theu can even powdercaot the stainless if you want it black).

Overall good quality for the $$ and all made in the USA!
