i just use a little dab of supper glue and hold the skin together. works good for the cut that probably should have stitches.
My wife, who is in the medical field taught me that trick years ago and I thought that it was the coolest thing because it works. I just don't know if it will work on a big gash!

I haven't thought of the personal body stapler! I would have just brought along my 16d nail gun and an air compressor!

The super glue works but do not get it into the wound! It is to close skin only and will glue your finger to the wound as well if not careful. The staple devices have been out for some time and work well. You must have a special device to remove the staples. This should be done after good cleaning of a fresh wound. Unless you have medical training, I would suggest using Steri-strips which can be bought at your drug store. You can make a simple straight wound very irregular and slow healing if you don't use a stapler correctly. If you are determined to use a stapler, practice putting some banna peels back together first. Oh yeah, a little injected lidocaine is nice before firing a stapler into someone.
