Re: What's in your first aid kit?

I have the Toyota First Aid kit, opened it once to get a band aid when I was on a sales call.

I do like that though!

i just use a little dab of supper glue and hold the skin together. works good for the cut that probably should have stitches.

My wife, who is in the medical field taught me that trick years ago and I thought that it was the coolest thing because it works. I just don't know if it will work on a big gash!

Re: What's in your first aid kit?

I haven't thought of the personal body stapler! I would have just brought along my 16d nail gun and an air compressor!

This place is great for car emergency medical and survival kits. I have the three-day red pack behind the seats.

Re: What's in your first aid kit?

The super glue works but do not get it into the wound! It is to close skin only and will glue your finger to the wound as well if not careful. The staple devices have been out for some time and work well. You must have a special device to remove the staples. This should be done after good cleaning of a fresh wound. Unless you have medical training, I would suggest using Steri-strips which can be bought at your drug store. You can make a simple straight wound very irregular and slow healing if you don't use a stapler correctly. If you are determined to use a stapler, practice putting some banna peels back together first. Oh yeah, a little injected lidocaine is nice before firing a stapler into someone.

Re: What's in your first aid kit?

BTY, pre packaged medical kits are over priced, but a good way to get a good kit that is fairly complete. I like this company's kits for general use:

NRS - Medical Comprehensive Kit

(Adventure medical)

If Noisycow travels with his avatar women, a full cardiac kit would be advised

Ah, SA FJ's is the rig I saw floating over the rocks and holes! He don't need no stinkin' first aid! It don't hurt if you can't feel it.
