beeping noise

i went offroad into some mud the other day and heard a beeping noise. i was not engaged in 4wd.
i have a stock mt. ( no inclinator )
i have no idea what the beeping was warning me of.
any ideas?

It is the VSC working. Dont worry its just doing its job. Kinda stupid for toyota to put a visual as well as audible alert on the car.

It's your VSC warning. do a search on beep or beeping

or it might have been your passenger seat belt warning. Happens to me a lot while I am driving if I rest my arm on the passenger arm rest.

it is your vsc. when you shift into 4wheel drive low it deactivates the vsc.
