Wow, I've never seen such detailed instructions with such nice pics.
Yeah, Warn not only did a great job on their design of this bumper, but took the extra trouble and time to create an easy-to-follow installation manual.

Re: Warn Winch Bumper install - pics

USEFUL INFO

Just to let you guys know, I just talked to Warn's customer service and they told me that the front bumper weights close to 170 LBS. The shipping weight is 180 Lbs, so they figure there is about 10 Lbs of cardboard.

They also said that the WARN 8274 WON'T fit in their bumper. You can put about any other winch in there, even the new Warn powerplant but no the 8274 (tall winch with gear reduction, a classic !!)

The they do not recommend to put rope on the powerplant because it runs hotter than the others.

They also said the rear bumper weights 110 Lbs and it is now available, they still have a little of backorder but top 2 weeks to wait.

Keep in mind the ARB bumper weights 160 LBS, the new Expedition 1 coming out soon 120 LBS and the AllPro even less than a 100 (I heard). All winches are around 90 LBS with steel cable.

Weight is a big factor to consider in the FJs front suspension.

I don't doubt it. It's one heavy sucker.

Even more reason to be packing a very heavy-duty suspension lift like the OME 886's or comparable, especially for the Warn and ARB bumpers.
