With the ARB snorkle will it leave all the space over in the passanger engine compartment? I didn't want to do a CAI due to that being where I'm mounting my compressor, so I assume the snorkel will leave that space since the intake will be on top of the vehicle...ohhh I hope so cause if it is I'm a scuba driving fool fooooo sure!!!!!!!
You would better off to save your money on the Snorkel instead of the CAI. The Snorkel is going to give you better Ambient air than any CAI. I ran outside during the rain, and took a couple of shots for you of the Snorkel. The exterior of the Snorkel runs along the upper portion of the fender wall, then sloping upwards with the windshield pillar. I would think ARB will be doing the same type of design with the FJ.
Next you can see when it comes inside the engine bay how it connectes into the breather box.
I used PVC fittings to do the make up into the stock breather box, it works real well. ARB makes great products, I hope this helps
You should have room for the compressor, i plan on mounting mine there too. But I'm torn between mounting a duel battery setup in the same place
