If I washed the underside of my FJ REALLY good could I have caused water to get in through the breathers? I was using high pressure but constant motion.
no

Re: SCUBA Driver Transmission, Transfer Case, Rear Differential & E-Locker Breather M

Maybe a dumb question (and I didnt feel like reading thru the 73 pages in this thread) but can all of these breathers be ran into the cabin of the FJ? I am just thinking of to be even more certain no water gets inside of them (from water splashing etc from under the hood)

The answer is yes but how you get it into the cabin can be an area of contention.

I think everything is in the 1st 2 or 3 pages. The transmission & transfer case breathers were added after the initial post. Just look for post by Shadow-Warrior. It will save time. I think I got through about 15 pages the 1st time I read this. I'm sure there are many good post from beginning to end, but it is almost a novel at this stage.

And I know this has been written many times before, but GREAT Write-UP!!

Re: SCUBA Driver Transmission, Transfer Case, Rear Differential & E-Locker Breather M

Nice job MSGTCWT!

Question though, looking at this picture...

Circled in red you used 2 - 1/4' coupling's? In the original post it states to use one each for Tranny and Transfer case, did you use another somewhere else?

Circled in green did you have to buy these two couplings seperate, then screw them onto eachother? These are 1/4' & 1/8'?

Just a little confused, sorry

I plan on doing this mod this week

Yes, they both go together and are installed on the Transfer Case Breather, you need to look at my post on the very first page.

When I picked up the 1/4'' coupling's they came in a package of 2. Sorry for the confusion.

Shadow answered the second question. 1/4'' to 1/8'' male and female is all I could find at my local hardware store.
