Re: SCUBA Driver Transmission, Transfer Case, Rear Differential & E-Locker Breather M

Instead of using the weak plastic tee fitting, I got one made out of solid brass. They use the brass ones on SeaDoo's, JetSkis, etc. They call them "Primer Fittings". Same size 1/4inch x 1/4inch x 1/8inch. Mine cost $3.89.

First, welcome to the forum TurnDriverSide and since you woke up the thread, I finally got around to doing my SCUBA Mod this weekend. Went with a patriotic theme on the color scheme...

Nice job! You can't go wrong with the Red, White, and Blue.

Re: SCUBA Driver Transmission, Transfer Case, Rear Differential & E-Locker Breather M

I think my tranny stinks. I did the scuba mod. Now I smell something like hair die. Is it sopose to smell like that. It smells the worst when I get on it. If it is I will have to relocate the breather.

Your saying the tranny breather is routed to the engine bay and you are smelling something? That doesn't sound plausible...is your rear diff routed to the jack stowage area, or did you bring it up front to the engine?

the tranny is routed to the engine bay and the rear diff is in the jack compartment. I dont smell it if i have the windows up and have it on inside air. I've only noticed the strong smell when i step on the gas going up hill and if the window is down. Never had a problem until this mod was done. The tranny is routed right up near the vents in the engine bay is it possible that the fumes r comin through there or im smellin somethin else? could there be something wrong with the tranny if it smells like that ?
