Re: SCUBA Driver Transmission, Transfer Case, Rear Differential & E-Locker Breather M

I should be finishing this mod up this weekend. Thought I'd share a few things.

I reached in and felt the FRONT transfer case breather and the silver "cap" on it could spin and bob around freely. However, the one on the REAR Diff. does not move at all. Is this by design or has it seized up?

The union part cost me $6.16 at my local dealer!

The 1/4" fuel line was $1.19/ft at Autozone. And the spectre filter was $9.99

I'll post a pic when I'm done.

Re: SCUBA Driver Transmission, Transfer Case, Rear Differential & E-Locker Breather M

For the rear, I made a bracket and attached the T connector (will accomodate 1/8" - 3/8" hose).

The bracket was attached to the crossmember. The 8mm hole/welded nut is already there.

All done!

Transmission and transfer case breathers were combined and mounted the Spectre breather here;

Gee, this seems such a poular mod, and I plan on doing it myself. You would think someone would capitalize this and create a "kit".

Just as a time saver, "one stop shop" option complete with instructions.....

I'de buy one.

I find it amusing how beautifully modified some of the preceeding rigs are. The large effort and expense some of their owners must have gone through. And yet there is not an OUNCE of dirt ANYWHERE to be seen.... Under, over or inside the rig. Glorified mall crawlers? Or do you have elves and gremlins staying up all night with Q-Tips cleaning your rides?

Putting one together now. Should have the install completed this weekend. Higher quality components than the typical rubber hose everyone is using and easier setup as well.

FJ Newb's Schutzhund Build

Should have a few leftover kits available after my install is done this weekend. Also this setup is much cheaper than the $150 kits that are out there on the market. Looking at less than 1/2 the cost.
