Re: Revtek KIT 431 For FJ Cruiser

Got a quote from a local off roadin' shop. Says they'll install for $650 total. Sounds like a deal. So let me confirm that with the revtek lift kit, I can keep my 17" alloys and just get bigger tires right? What size maximum tire can I put on there. Any tire suggestions that will fit the 17" alloy rims. Will be mostly a DD. Light trails on occ weekends. Thx in advance.

Sound great! It's definately on my list of things to do. The FJ better get here soon. My list is growing longer by the minute. Looks like I'll have every weekend until Christmas tied up in the garage.... lol.... but looking forward to every minute of it!

Its really up to you.... i think you could put 33' on them but thay might rub a bit. My plan is to kill off the stock tires first and then get bigger tires.

I agree. I'll probably kill the stock tires on a long road trip this summer and "86" 'em before heading to Moab this fall. Unless, of course, I can talk the dealer into doing an immediate swap. It's worth a try.

17" are fine if you are lifting and actually wheeling, then you may even check out 16" off road will be better and you will proabably have a wider selection of cheaper tires.

Other Quick notes:
1st Make Sure you have a good set of spring compressors. (I Didn’t)
2nd Be careful of the back nut on the Strut tower because it strips very easy and is hard to get to.
3rd On the top of the shocks on the rear is very hard to get tools in and the bottom the shock is very close to the axel all most rubs. see pictures!
What is the difference between the Revtek kit and others on the market? ie. OME, Donoho Racing, etc. Why did you choose Revtek over the others? And what did the install run you?

Thanks, Jimmy

P.S. the rig looks HOT lifted...

Re: Revtek KIT 431 For FJ Cruiser

Is the Revtek kit soley a spacer kit or a combination of spacers/shocks? Also, most people are saying that over time the lift will dramatically decrease and the performance will be poor.

Exclamation Re: Revtek KIT 431 For FJ Cruiser

The revtek kit was in stock. And you can't Beat the price on it... it was $480.00 and $512.00 Shiped to my front door. Yes its a spacer kit but it gives a little more room to put bigger tires under it while keeping most of your stock parts. I would like to put a donahoe system on it but it cost a little more LIKE 1400.00 more and thats just for the front. Maybe in time i will up grade. But for now revtek gets it done!

P.S Does and one know any other kits FOR the FJ Besides the Revtek and Donahoe?

Donahoe KIT JUST the Front Price $1450.00

5-8640 0"-3.5" Front Coil-Over System - 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser 2WD & 4WD

Revtek KIT Front and Back Price $512.00 SHIPED

3" Front, 2" Rear lift, designed to level the vehicle
Complete system includes rear shocks
Fits tires up to 285/75/R16
