Re: MissFJ's Project SFA

Looking good! There's plenty of room left... I assume this is at full bump and if the tire were mounted it would be into the fender pretty good, so no worries about losing any up-travel based on the steering box hitting the tie rod. The axle looks like it's been moved WAY forward. How far did you move it?

Let's see if it worked.

there's a few pics showing full compression.... so if it looks like something is hitting, it's probably right there.

Re: MissFJ's Project SFA

yea that's wicked stuffed. it'll ride 4-5" higher than that depending on how much fender I can cut before amanda shows up LOL

the pictures I just posted w/ the tire on it is ride height... I'm not sure how far forward I went... it kinda went like this

tim "hey phil... I think we're going to need to cut that body mount"

me "ummmm *scrappppppeeeeeeeee* not w/ the axle all the way up here we're not"

there's 2 feet from axle center to the body mount on the driver's side if that gives any perspective.

Re: MissFJ's Project SFA

ar·tic·u·la·tion (är-tik'ye-la' shen) "A fixed or movable joint between an axle and the body (of the rig eh).
A movable joint between inflexible parts of the rig's body and it's axles, as the divisions of an appendage in arthropods. (for good measure we'll keep that) "

no bind yet.... we just didn't go any further because I didn't want to pick pieces of fjcruiser off the floor if it fell off the rack. Tim was all for it though
