Re: All Pro Bumper

I agree, the ARB is too much. That one looks sweet! How about TJM? Any word if they have one in the works?

Re: All Pro Bumper

yup, that is what I want. ARB seemed too much for me... would like to hear what the final weight is, compared to ARB.

Looks like it could be a winner. Clean and simple.

How does it (will it) behave with respect to the front airbag sensors?
This is the one drawback of the AllPro vs. the ARB. The AllPro bumper doesn't "recreate" the crush rate of the stock setup like the ARB does. This will affect the deployment of the ABS system... no one can really say for sure how, but most likely the bags will deploy slightly before or slighty after when they were designed to. I debated this whole issue when I bought my bumper for my Tacoma, and decided to go ahead and get the AllPro because of price and design. I just hope that if I get in a bad wreck, it won't screw with the ABS deployment to a large degree...

Re: All Pro Bumper

I will cast my vote on the finished product. Too early to tell.

Re: All Pro Bumper

A stiffer bumper causes greater inertial forces than a crushable bumper, resulting in the airbags going off in a lower speed crash.
This is a very expensive situation; far more expensive than any of these bumpers. There may also be issues with the insurance company's willingness to cover the cost if they can show the airbags wouldn't have gone off with the standard crushable bumper.

Re: All Pro Bumper

Not really that impressed with the prototype. Will give comments on the final product.

Re: All Pro Bumper

The steel version. Looks good so far. Wonder if the two holes on either side of the winch are for lights or winch access.

Love how low profile the bumper is, much more than the ARB (soon to be ARG). I will be watching this one closely.
