looks really really cool...
I really want to see it with lights...that will really give the Baja Look..
Go for the Lightforce lights, very nice on everything I have seen...
It looks like you got a nice approach angle also, very cool.
The reason I went with the ARB bumper was the full coverage bull bar around the front, plenty of coverage for the sidemarker lights.
So what is the wgt, that is 1 reason I would consider changing bumpers would be to lighten the front load.
Keep us posted
Yeah I cant wait to have all my lights in, On the rack, on the bumper, in the bumper...jeez you dont want to know where else! Im totally addicted to these night runs! Gosh the pics are nice, but it doesnt do it justice!!

It looks like you have a real winner - I wish Demello had the time; that's exactly the bumper he should be building.
I am REAL interested in hearing his plans for the rear bumper. Have you talked about that? Might you have.......pics?
no sorry not yet, the goal is to finish and perfect the front bumper as much as possible first. We did talk about some key points such as provide a platform to sand on to reach the roof rack. providing more clearance for a bigger spare tire. using the factory hitch to cut down on parts but provide a better departure angle than any other bumper. there are some more things but he loves to hear suggestions...
regarding the black vinyl part, were not doing that. We were thinking about it but didn't know how people would feel about cutting up the factory front bumper and if its damaged already than they would have a problem... if someone really wants to do that they have to cut the factory bumper and modify it anyway, it wouldn't take much to make it if...
Another thing we wanted with this is that its light weight but still strong!
You can take this bumper on and off with one person and it sits there so you can bolt it on easily....Simple and sleek....is sexy!! LOL

I like - Help me understand, does the bootom bar only connects on the ends to the main horizontal member w/ no bracing in the middle or is it welded to the mounting plates. It's hard to see in the pictures. If it is only connected on the ends then I would suggest somesort of bracing near the verticle members...

it is welded to the mounting plates also to stiffen the entire bumper up and give it support. The mounting plates are big and the bar is so low on the plate to protect the lower part of the condenser & radiator.
looks cool but it needs some sort of plate to protect the radiator just my paranoia really but if you loose the cooling system your truck is toast other than that that is a damn nice bumper

I'm paranoid about that too so that is next! the bumper is not finished yet. plates, winch mount, and light mounts are in the works as we speak...
