I would be interested in seeing what he comes up for the rear.
So far nothing on the market really grabs me since you have to reuse the plastic on the sides.
Is he going to try and design something that eliminates the need to hack your stock bumper in order to reuse the plastic sides?
Sorry I dont understand the question? Hack the bumper for what plastic sides? There is nothing that needs to be cut on the factory bumper and the new bumper is a direct bolt on.
Are you referring to the plastic inner fender liners? Those do have to be cut, you could remove the front portion of the inner fender liners but then the air intake is wide open, that is the reason for cutting them to keep the intake protected...
Very cool, I love seeing these custom bumpers..can't wait to see it in person one thing.......have you thought about what may happen if a rock goes through the radiator though? You may want to put some additional protection behind there somehow. Otherwise just spectacular!!

He is talking about the rear quarter panels that are plastic that attach to the rear bumper. On all the after market bumper these need to be cut off and reused, some of the ones in prototype phase are replacing them with metal.
The front bumper looks good. I not really digging the lower bar that runs form side to side. I now you said it was for more protections but once you get a skid plate in it it will be come use less IMHO. I would have just ran it into the side of the frame rails. Looking forward to seeing the finished product, and I will second Lance on the Lightforce lights there the best! You'll want the 170's there a little bigger then a 6" light.

Pumbaa---I love it. I was considering the Road armor Titan, but now my mind is still uncertain. It would be nice to see this bumper a little more covered. It looks like you can look right up under her skirt I can't wait to see this thing finalized with skids. I am very interested in a purchase! Nice job goes to the fabricator btw. I like A2A's idea of using the top part of the factory bumper. I would also like to see a mesh grille in the front to match the factory one. (keep is cool in the desert). I see lights going on the outer underside of the guard too!! Oh baby I am having visions of sugar plums!

My bad, I didnt understand that he was talking about the rear. The plan is that you do not have to cut the bumper and use parts from it.

We should do a night run! I got lights!
a night run sounds good... We ran out of time this weekend to do the plates but I will need to get some protection on for this weekend trail! We cant make up our mid as to what material to use and if it will be welded or bolted so it can be replaced if it gets banged up badly...
Do bolt on skids!
Maybe the top portion Aluminum (or what ever it is Air2air is using) and the underside steel.
