Nose Down?

Does anybody else think the nose it a bit lower than the rear on the FJ? I can’t decide if I’m going to try the 1” spacer on the front or not. I think it would make it sit more level, but does the back really sit higher than the front? Or is this just an illusion? I’m guessing the front is lower because the lift kits give you 2 ¾” lift on the front and 1 ¼” on the back. Does anybody else think the nose is lower or am I seeing things?

Re: Nose Down?

Dude, it's no illusion. The back sits like almost 2 inches higher it looks like. It's at least 1" anyway. Like I said, go for the leveling kit and 33's and then post pics dammit.

Re: Nose Down?

yes!! yes!! Way to be awesome. If she's a good wife, she'll forgive most transgressions. I think that if you just do light trails, a leveling kit is perfect knowing that 33" will fit without a lift. It just makes it look more aggressive.
Way back when, I was on the H3 forums and it was the same deal for them. 33's will fit, but many decide to adjust their torsion bars (lifting the front end 1.5-2" to level the truck out....and WOW! what a big difference it makes visually. Truck instantly looks bigger and tougher. No doubt this is the case with the FJ. I am 100% positive you will not be dissappointed. If I lived near you, I would offer to help put it on for the experience. If I wasn't lifting my FJ, I would at the very least do the leveling kit and 33". Good luck. Post pics. Hooray!!

Re: Nose Down?

Call around its a common item, most tire shops can do it, and any 4x4 shop can do it, but will try to up sell you to a full coilover system, you cant do it yourself unless you have a spring removal tool.
my revtek is fine. Do some phone shopping, I got quoted from $1200 to $600 installed. But if you insist www.performanceproducts.com or just ask revtek where a reseller is they wont sell direct.

Re: Nose Down?

I'm going for the 1" spacer and I might be able to sell my Dad my tires. He needs some new rubber for his tundra, maybe he will buy mine and I can get something different. I played in the mud a bit yesterday and the factory dunlops don't clear worth crap!
