Selling the stock tires...SUCCESS!!

I found a buyer for my stock Bridgestones.

$350 for 4 tires.

You people said it couldn't be done. I was told I'd be lucky to get $50/tire. I sold them for $87.50 a piece. Naysayers, all of you!

Seriously, it only took a day, and I found a buyer on craigslist. I still think $350 is a good deal, considering tirerack.com is charging $110 each plus shipping. With shipping, that's $500 bucks to buy them new. I don't feel like I'm ripping anyone off.

Anyway, I just wanted to offer some words of encouragement to anyone who's trying to get rid of the stock tires. It CAN be done.

Yes, I presold them. My FJ gets here this week, and the first place I'll be driving to is the tire shop.

Seriously?

www.craigslist.org

That's the San Fran page, but there's a page for most cities. Clicky the linky on the main page for your city. If they don't have VA Beach, they'll have something close to you.

Re: Selling the stock tires...SUCCESS!!

Dude, Craigslist is awesome. Just heard about it 6 months ago. Went to sell our BMW 325. Listed it in the paper, auto trader, & with classyautos.com. Didnot get very many hits at all. Then someone mentioned craigslist and bam, we got 3-4 calls right away. Just make sure you type www.craigslist.com and NOT www.craiglist.com (this is a porn site). Those silly sites will do anything to drum up traffic.

Jlam, good job. I too will be selling tires as soon as a good lift option is available. Are you keeping your rims or are you switching them out as well?

I'm keeping the rims. I'm not made of money.

I Sold My Tires Last Thursday For $300.00,
New Rubber
Goodyear Wrangler At/s Stock Size
Super Great Look,
It's A Good Tire Too, As Most Of The Time I'm On The Road , So Using A More Agressive Could Be Louder On The Road. Those Are My 50 Cents
Cheers
