My FJ came with Flashing LED's in the tail lights and some tube lights that run next to the frame and in the front and back bumpers. They flash red, blue, white, green, purple, and all types of speed and patterens. Your's didn't come that way. Huh, weird.
I was offroading last weekend in the dust and some rigs had some flashing front and rear LEDs which I thought were cool, but can't find a topic on it. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
I run front and rear LED strobes, as do a few of my trail buddies. They are very low amp draw, and work well day or night to make my FJC visible on the trail.

I was behind larry most for a good amount of time last weekend, and that's why i want them now. comes in really handy when the rigs in front of you kick up a whole bunch of dust
I like to see and be seen when I'm out on the trail. Some areas are overrun with ATVs and motorcycles who may or may not be treading lightly - and may not be aware of the larger vehicles on the trail. I've been involved in several near misses with riders paying little attention to their surroundings, so I find the extra warning the flashing LEDs provide add a margin of safety and might help prevent a disaster...

Did you see all his other lights? If I was told that someone had the lights larry had on his FJ with out seeing it, I would think, some teenager made a bling bling FJ. But Its so well done and useful when U see it in person. The bad part is Dirty Parts and I work the same hours so I can never get down to the shop from the valley.
Thank you for the complimentary words. When it comes to lighting systems, I tend to go overboard. But I believe in functionality, and I designed my vehicle's lighting system (and many others over the years) to do the best job possible for the task at hand. I want to be able to see where I'm going, whatever direction that might be; I want to see what I'm going over, to reduce the carnage; I want to be seen, to prevent injury to those who might not notice my vehicle otherwise; and I want it all to work properly every time I use it.
Excessive ? maybe. Functional and effective ? Absolutely.

Where are your strobes located? I am looking for some that are hidden until they are turned on. Most strobes I've seen require drilling into the stock light housing or removing and existing bulb.

Mine are externally mounted units - a single 15" long unit above the rear door in the rear, and two 6" units, one on each side of the front ARB bumper. I used xenon strobes mounted inside the taillights and turn signals on my FJ80, but the FJC's lights are not conducive to a good mounting position, and those strobes draw a lot of power - something I was trying to avoid.
The LEDs are clear when off, and flash amber when on - and they have multiple pattern choices as well.

Larry,
Could you post some photos of them? Would it be outside of forum "rules" if you told everyone what they retail for?
Thanks!
