4Runner Jambo in Tellico,TN

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up that I will be flying out to TN to cover the upcoming 4Runner Jamboree at the Tellico Off-Road Park in 2 weeks. The FJ Cruiser Trail Team will be there offroading and showing off the FJ's equipped at TLC in Los Angeles. I will give you guys a report of how they did and look for an article of the event in 4Wheel Drive & Sport Utility Magazine.

Love you mag Jordan. I live here in Knoxville, but I don't have my FJ yet. Are we going to be able to roll in these things? Thinking of still comming and do a little camping without the FJ though. Any days that you would recomend to be there as I won't be able to take the whole week off.

I cannot speak for the FJ Trail Team but your best bet would be to show up early and ask them for a ride. I wouldnt doubt that they will be giving people as many rides as they have time for considering the entire purpose of the team is to promote the FJ Cruiser. Should be a good event from what I hear. Thanks for the comp on the mag!

I just saw the team at Hollister. They let you drive it around over off road terrain. They took me over a few bumps and dips, but guided me very carefully.

The guy to drive it after me immediately high centered it over some ruts and had to be winched off. They weren't too happy about that, but not that mad either. Mostly good natured jabs.

Hey, GSMTR starts the day after the jambo- Cruiser heaven (usually 100+ land cruisers, not to mention minis)!! The trail team will be there, too.

for those that don't know, GSMTR (Great Smokey Mountain Trail Ride) is a TLCA sanctioned event, the biggest east of the Mississippi. There's some info in the latest Toyota Trails and at the STLCA.org website.

Stick around and WHEEL!
