yes, no noise at all from the snorkel when the head is turned forward. dont know about it when its turned in reverse though. it was way rainy so i couldnt tell when i had turned around.
Maybe I missed it, But is the consensus on the
1/8" weep holes in the air cleaner and air pickup
at the fender location ?...
Instructions leave it up to the owner to decide...
I see it two ways, if any water gets into the
system from the top of the snorkel intake, it
needs to have a place to drain out... and if you
are riding along and hit a deep hole, a drop of
water may push into the holes, but not enough
to hurt anything... but if stuck in some deep
water, how much is going to weep up in from
them ?...
I need a ton of opinions here folks, and some
true life experiances too !...

Thanks Much !...
My opinion is to seal them up, Bandi. The amount of water you get in the head of your snorkel from rain, snow, or a car wash is not going to cause any detriment to your engine and some even say it's healthy to have the occasional itsy bit of water get in.
...but if you are immersed in a water crossing, those holes are going to allow your entire intake to fill completely up with water, especially if you stop for any reason. Seal 'em up good.
Thought I'd share my experience for this install, so everyone out there will know...even a dumby can do it, and when it comes to pulling off fender liners, and drilling holes into my car, I am a dumby...In fact to prove it to you, this install took me 6 and half hours, of course most of it involved me smoking a cigarette, scratching my head wondering how the hell to get the fender liner off without just ripping off, which I wanted to do so bad...And then when I drilled my big hole, I drilled in reverse...haha...had to go pick up another hole saw for that one...but I finished it, and it looks good...

Nicely done. I cut my hole with sheet metal snips (wrong arbor for my hole saw) so don't feel bad about the reverse thing
Congratulations on the snorkel!!
