Awesome service from Expedition One & even better bumper (pic added)

I just received my Expedition One Trail Series front bumper with center hoop. WOW this is one beautiful piece of metal. It was wrapped up perfectly not a scratch or mark on it. Looks like they must have spent a couple hours wrapping it for shipping. James even went the extra mile to ensure the customs paper work was filled out properly so I did not end up getting nailed Customs and Duty charges. Saved me 20 %. I have ordered bumpers before from the USA for my FJ40 & BJ42 and was dinged the 20 % because the retailer could not be bothered to put in the effort to fill out some forms and put MADE IN THE USA on the package. Then when it arrives I have to shell out a few more hundred bucks to take possession. These folks at Expedition One were great….I’m so impressed. Man I can’t believe how they got the exact same finish as the factory rack. My bumper ended up delivered with PIAA 510 and 580 lights for less money ($ 6.23) then what I could get just the Warn bumper for and way less then a ARB. I’m so happy….with Exp. 1. James is quite the perfectionist…..I can see why he took a long time to get these to market. I’m sure glad I waited. I look forward to seeing the rear bumper. I can not wait to install on Sunday, I’ll post pics once it’s in action. GREAT job Expedition One. Just a not....this bumper was easy to install with good directions. Every thing lined up perfect and the gaps on each side are only 1 mm diffrence with out even adjusting it. Reps for Expedition One

Awesome. I am glad that you had a good experience. I am going to drive 10 miles north and buy myself a front, rear, and skids.

That bumper looks great. Thanks for the report. Nice to do business with people who know what they are doing.

That's wierd, I've been waiting three weeks for mine and all I've been told is "we're waiting on hoops, maybe next week"

Re: Awesome service from Expedition One & even better bumper

another happy EX1 customer. James is a great guy and has IMO the best bumper on the market. Looks great, functions great, and he stands behind what he produces.

I've been thinking about adding 2 PIAA's on the front of the bumper..but I can't decide. I'm not sure if its legal to have them on while driving in VA?..or any state for that matter? I've heard that you can as long as they're below the headlights..which they are..but I'm not for sure...any thoughts?

Re: Awesome service from Expedition One & even better bumper

Well I live in Canada which has no restrictions against fog lights/driving lights under the head lights if factory equiped. Having said that the RCMP up here are usually pretty good with the common sense. I would think if I blind one of them with them on I would get a ticket. However saying that its a 17mm nut and a plug to undo and there off. I always carry tools so if I was told I was going to get a fine I would say I'll take them off right now. Technically I would still deserve the fine but like I said the RCMP seems to have common sense.....there usually pretty good people. Besides mine point at the ditch any way.
