Re: A-Trac switch install with pics

Ok, Installed my switch many weeks ago, had turned it on once and light came on and figured all was fine.

Was on the FJ Team trip to Red Cone Yesterday, no joy.... I checked to make sure the wiring had not came loose.

Any other sugguestions otherwise will have the dealer look at it.

Is there any chance you didn't encounter a situation that would activate the system???

Re: A-Trac switch install with pics

The light came on the first time I tested it, and when I attempted again no light, the light comes on if I am correct once it is pushed.

You probably have already checked this- but make sure the RR Diff Lock button isn't depressed and disabling the A-Trac switch.

Pic of diff lock dash light:

There are 3 things that must be done in order to get the light (and A-Trac) on.

1. Push the A-Trac button
2. Make sure the rear diff button is NOT pushed
3. Shift into 4Lo

If all this is done and it doesn't work, then it may be worth checking the switch. I'm not sure I would go to the dealer to get a "hack" fixed.

Re: A-Trac switch install with pics

As I noticed with the test, I installed the a-trac switch and nothing happened. So its true that you have to have th RR DIFF LOCK button to do the hack thing. I feel shamed...

I also bought the diff lock button just to fill the blank button covers and to light up at night.

To all guys overthere who could make the atrac to work: ENJOY THE PACKAGE SAVING!!!! while I keep throwing things to the floor.
