Re: A-Trac switch install with pics

Sorry guys should of posted this here yesterday, so I had a bad switch, this switch send a signal to the computer that your in Low Lock, replaced it after many hours at the dealer and them saying look at all of these modifications saying something I added caused the problem. This switch has been used for years not a new product and very few fail.

So other wise you go to low lock but no rear locker or ATAC.

Re: A-Trac switch install with pics

I added my switch this morning, 15 minutes tops, played in some sand tonight and all is good. Thanks to TRDSOURCE for following up after the sale and the pioneers who verified the connector wiring!

Re: A-Trac switch install with pics

Got mine, installed it in about 5 minutes, tested it on a washed out fire road near my house, works like a charm (at least I hope all that shuddering / vibration / noise was the ATRAC)

By the way, I installed it by popping the glove box out, reaching to the switch console and popping the switches from behind. Much easier than taking the console apart, but you need long, skinny arms!

Re: A-Trac switch install with pics

Popped out the blank with a driver's license and and had the switch (purchased from trdsource.com) installed in less than 30 seconds. Thanks guys for this quick and easy improvement.

Re: A-Trac switch install with pics

Installed mine in less than 2-minutes (credit card to pop loose the blank switch), connected the wires and popped the new switch in, dropped her in 4-Lo, pressed the A-Trac switch and it worked as advertised. Double checked by pressing the Rear Lock switch and A-Trac was automatically disabled.

Thks to all for the info.

P.S. Took it to the dealer for my initial service yesterday - no problems and no questions!

Re: A-Trac switch install with pics

That is some soft plastic. Even a Blockbuster card scratched it a bit as apparent in the picture.

1. I'm going to add a lot of switches so it doesn't matter to me to have a stock looking switch. This truck is all plastic and rubber. At least it's not floating in the air like that other guy.
2. I can't wait for the switch to come in. I'm driving to Michigan from Houston tomorrow.
3. Costs too much. Money needs to go towards other stuff.
