Expedition One Front Bumper

The designer for Expedition One http://expeditionone.biz/index.htm is asking for feedback on a new front bumper for the FJ at:

http://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=93070

He's taking input now, it looks somewhat similar to others, but hey, the more variety the better. Go there and let him know what you would like to see...

Re: Expedition One Front Bumper

I'll be anxious to see the price point. Looks very much like the ARB bumper.

I like the looks of their jeep bumper a lot.

Can't wait to see what they come up with for the FJ.

I like that jeep bumper too, but on the FJ I'd be worried about compromising the approach angle. The ARB setup the trail teams are using seem to stick out a little too much (IMO) already.

Then......should I expect to be disappointed or should I just be disappointed that I expected it?

Re: Expedition One Front Bumper

That is by far the best looking of the aftermarket bumpers to date. The concept looks great. The lines on the lower half of the bumper are much more complimentary to the overall body design. Can't wait to see a prototype mounted to a real FJ. I like all of the variety out there. Different flavors for different tastes.

Re: Expedition One Front Bumper

It looks like the All Pro bumper and the Bent Up bumper mated. I'd have to see it in 3D first. I would really like for someone to come up with a lower profile (dare I say heep style) bumper that doesn't swallow up the grill of the FJC. I like the look of the front grill to much to cover it up. Simple, compact, low profile that doesn't kill the approach angle too much. That's not asking too much, right?

That's what potentially makes it better! I'm keeping my eye on this one....

Re: Expedition One Front Bumper

I would like it if they could somehow integrate the old FJ-40 look to the front and have a space between the bumper and the grill and have that part color matched to the vehicle. Would look quite retro. Awesome so far and my favorite choice of all the options out there.
