MT Sliders for the FJ's Birthday

I just returned home from a trip to SoCal and found 2 nice little packages waiting for me. And coincidentally, I brought my truck home a year ago.

Mark and Metal Tech have been superb to work with. Their new sliders were ready for shipping last month, and Mark worked extra hard to get my order to me and save a bundle on shipping. Living in Hawaii has it's advantages, but being able to drive to the nearest off-road shop and pick up an order is not one of them. Shipping can normally run you $$3-400 + on a set of sliders this heavy through the big name shipping companies. Mark had the idea to send it USPS, no pallet, and it worked. Thanks Mark!

Unpackaged

Great boxy rail look, sort of old school to me. But don't let it fool you, these sliders are as tough as anything out there.

Not a particularly difficult install, you just need a couple of extra hands- or jack stands.

MT supplies the hardware- 10.9 grade, no fooling around.

Install completed in one hour.

These rails are the same design MT installs on the FJ80 series. They've been proven time and again in the roughest of conditions and will protect my rockers on the islands blue rock as well as the ever present, plentiful lava.

Now, time to test them.
