As of right now I have no plans to lift my FJC. On paper I can live with the sag the ARB is going to cause, if it or my handling suffers I will revisit a suspension upgrade. In that case I have been looking at the OME, Danahoe and All Pro lifts. I just put new tires on my truck and I know if I lift it I will want to go bigger.
Little off topic, but are you talking front end sag with the ARB and winch or just the bumper? Was just wondering if you could get away with stock front end with bumper and winch.

I think you can, others don't.
Kansas Law Dog and I came up with some very unscientific numbers:
I'll buy that equation. Although if the FJ comes stock with progressive rate springs, meaning they get firmer as compression increases, you would't even have that much drop as the combo is quite a bit lighter than the 240 lbs. Will check out the other thread for more info and updates.
Now, back to our regularly scheduled program already in progress......
Granger, your FJ looks awesome with the Gobi rack! My FJ has the factory rack, but your pics make me reconsider.
I have one question: If you were to load a long item in the rack (like a ladder or a long 2x4), with one end of sitting in the front of the basket, will the other end rest nicely on the rear rail of the rack without "see-sawing" over the curve in the middle?
Keep us updated when you install lights!

I think it would see-saw but the cross bars are level so as long as you tie down to them it should be stable. Not sure how much you would want to overhang past the cross bars though.
There is one cross bar just past the opening behind the front lights and another about half way back. They are level with each other so rack systems like Thule and Yak will work, as would tying down ladders, boards etc...
