Re: Does size matter.... in a power tank?

Are all you 10 pounders out there still happy now that you've had 'em for a while or do you wish you had gotten a bigger one?

Have you tried air tools on it?

Re: Does size matter.... in a power tank?

I'm happy with my 10# tank.

I don't run air tool off of mine but I know radrod57 does and its really nice having air tools out on the trail! Makes a tire change a 2 min job instead of a 10 min one.

PM if you have any questions on the air tools. Not sure if he will see this thread.

Re: Does size matter.... in a power tank?

I'm happy with the 10lb for just airing up the tires a few times. Very dissapointed to use the cylinder with my impact gun to remove and replace the lugs for a tire rotation that seemed to kill the tank quickly. $23 bucks just to refill sucks!!! It's worth it regardless of the cost in so many situations so I guess I'm happy.

I think a 20# tank would be too large to carry. I bought a 2nd 10# tank in order to have a filled tank in reserve.

I tried a cheap Sears air wrench, but returned it because it didn't have sufficient torque to remove lugnuts. PowerTank sells an Ingersoll-Rand air wrench that I'm sure will do the job, but I'm in no hurry to get it.
