I don't have to prove my dedication to this forum...we all know where my heart lies

That being said, this is a post on 'another' forum that should really not be missed....

Re: ARB Bumper Live Install

Can any experts out there weigh in on whether it looks like this ARB Bar is a good way to go based on the installation questions posed?

I personally would give it some time....it looks like it needs weatherstripping (which, I suppose, is an easy fix), they say the skid plate is crap, and you have to cut into your FJ a bit

Re: ARB Bumper Live Install

With the aftermarket bumpers, how do they react with the Air Bag system?? Has anyone heard??

I can see this becoming an insurance issue.

Hello chewey46 it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?

based on past experience,....EVERYTHING is an insurance issue. those greedy bastards try to weasle outta everything no matter how wrong they are.

with that said, i believe ARB are the only ones to have done any kind of airbag testing with an fj. these are the kinds of questions that have me waiting. well, that and the whole no budget wiggle room. kids gotta learn and eat afterall.

large companies like ARB do testing with airbag systems and crumple zones
the small ones do not, it is both a matter of money for the testing and empire to protect.
Small fab shops usually are working for wages, not profit. what they would lose in a major lawsuite is not much.
ARB is a major international company

Re: ARB Bumper Live Install

Cool, thanks gentleman.....

If you find any info on this, or maybe someone who is getting an ARB can ask, this will make my decision easier.
