Re: ARB Bumper + Warn M8000 Installation - LOTS of pictures

Is the extra weight on the front end going to add or contribute to the bulges/rips that some people are experiencing in there engine bay? I would also like to add one of these to my FJ but am somewhat apprehensive at this point. what are your thoughts on this subject?

Re: ARB Bumper + Warn M8000 Installation - LOTS of pictures

AFAIK there has been no definitive answer yet to what causes them. Some people have the rips and have the stock bumper. Some people have the rips and have an after-market bumper. Some have no rips and have stock or after-market bumpers.

Re: ARB Bumper + Warn M8000 Installation - LOTS of pictures

FWIW, I found a pretty good deal on the ARB. $916.61 with free shipping. Performance Products 1-800-752-6268. Ask for Travis.

Truck Parts & Truck Accessories from Performance Products for Trucks & SUVs

Mine should be here by the end of the week!

Cheers,

Paul.

Re: ARB Bumper + Warn M8000 Installation - LOTS of pictures

I have an ARB but no winch. To cover the holes, I had a piece of aluminum diamond plate cut. Pictures:

Looks great, and very functional.

I can post dimensions if needed.

Cheers,

Paul.

Re: ARB Bumper + Warn M8000 Installation - LOTS of pictures

I wonder if you can purchase just those re-enforcing brackets and use them on other bumpers? Those brackets are a huge part in making that bumper so strong.
