Sure thing! You just need to make sure that either Andy or I go wheeling with you and you're covered.

Re: ARB Bumper + Warn M8000 Installation - LOTS of pictures

After driving the FJ around a little I have found that the front end has settled and is lower then I originally thought. The front end is now about 1" lower then it was before I installed the ARB bumper and winch. Not a big deal to me, but definitely noticeable when you look at it from the side or drive it.

I have an OME lift kit on order and will be installing a medium sprung lift once they make it here from AU. This should level the FJ out.

If you'd "spring" (pun intended) for the Donahoe coilover system, you would be able to adjust the height to the exact height required to level vehicle, instead of settling for the fixed height of the front OME coil / strut assembly...just a suggestion...

You think the medium is the way to go? I will have the same set up and want a level truck with 285's.

Yes. IMO the Heavy OME kit has the increased spring rate to handle the additional 200 lbs of a bull bar, winch, lights, hi-lift and whatever else you might want to mount on the front end. I talked to a few people that have installed OME in the past. This helped me make my decision to order the heavy kit. Also the fine folks at Man-A-Fre recommended the heavy OME kit with the ARB + Winch on the front. I've seen a few FJ's on other boards with OME kits and bumpers installed and they all appear to be level. I won't really know until I get the lift and install it.

EDIT: I originally said the medium kit was the one I have on order. I actually am purchasing the Heavy kit.

Re: ARB Bumper + Warn M8000 Installation - LOTS of pictures

Hey sbechtold, did a mounting kit come with the Warn M8000 for the ARB bumper or is that a separate package/product number? I'm picking my stuff up tomorrow morning and doing this myself, but I've never installed an ARB or an electronic winch, just an old greasy Ramsey PTO winch on an old rusty Willys. I'm looking forward to this one.

The ARB has the mounting plate built into it. You do not have to purchase a mounting kit. See this picture below. The winch actually bolts to the inside of the bumper.
